XT-PIDS has both a Windows-based heavy client and a light, web-based client, each offering your agency the ability to have established processes handled by the system without human intervention.

Heavy Client: For Op Center Personnel

The Heavy Client allows your Operations Center personnel to make real-time announcements to one or more stations. It’s a C# program resident on computers, and a large amount of data is passed between the IMS (Integrated Management System) and the Heavy Client.

The intent is for the Heavy Client to do some of the heavy lifting by reducing the amount of data required by a browser-based system. The information each user can see and modify depends on the permissions assigned to them.

Light Client: For On-the-Go

The light web client is browser-based and mobile responsive with the same full permissions-based functions as the Heavy Client.

It also allows for information-based viewing, with users being restricted from some processes via permissions but allowing them to see trains and statuses as they are tracked, view messages, and send messages and advertising to a specific station.
